Family Ministry Program
This comprehensive program educates, trains and equips faith communities to include people with disabilities and their families in congregational life. The program emphasizes strategies that allow a congregation to assume some of the responsibilities of caring for children with disabilities and involving the children in religious education activities so that other family members have time for their own faith development.
Educate the congregation on disability issues and the theology of inclusion.
Create socially inclusive programming that accommodates people with disabilities.
Meet the needs of families with disabilities with nurturing pastoral and congregational care.
Integrate these tasks through planning and fund raising.
