Speakers Bureau

Because the DAMI office is closed, DAMI can no longer supply you with a guest speaker or presenter for a women's or men's fellowship gathering, an adult forum, a gathering of children or youth, a religious education or scripture study class, a service of worship or any other special event held at your community of faith. Because disability cuts across all religions and faiths, speakers should address the issues of disability within a faith context and be sensitive to the beliefs and needs of the faith community that invites the speaker.

Please give your request for a speaker some thought prior to making contact..

• What is the purpose of the event for which you want a speaker?

• How many people do you expect will attend?

• What outcome will the event achieve?

• When will the event occur?

• How will you publicize the event?

• What long-term effect do you want?

• What funds do you have to cover expenses?

Answer as many of these questions as you can, before you contact a speaker.
